964795 -- WILD RICE & CHEESE SOUP

1 med. onion, diced
1 can cream of potato soup
2 pts. half and half
Cook wild rice until tender. Fry bacon until crispy; add onion and cook until
tender. Drain excess grease. Combine cooked rice, bacon, onion, soups, and
half and half; simmer until thick. Just before serving, add grated cheese and
stir until melted. Garnish with croutons, if desired.
